POTATO AU GRATIN

here it is....one of my favourite hot meals..it's so creamyy...


500 gr potatoes, sliced into 1/2 cm slices
1 onion minced
50 gr unsalted butter
50 gr all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper
400 ml milk
100 ml whipping cream
200 gr ceddar cheese

Directions :

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. In a medium sauce pan, melt unsalted butter over medium heat add the onion. Mix in the flour and stir constantly with a ballon whisk, stir in milk and fresh cream. Cook until mixture and has thickened, add cheese all at once and continue stirring until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste it. Stop cooking.

In a casserole dish, layer 1/2 of the potatoes into bottom of casserole dish, pour 1/2 of cheese mix over the potatoes and add the remaining potatoes. And for the last, cover the potatoes with cheese mix again. Cover the dish with aluminium voil, bake 1 hour in the oven.

Let's make it..........it's more delicious when it hot........
